Yoga is an ancient art based on a harmonizing system of development for the body, mind, and spirit. The continued practice of yoga will lead you to a sense of peace and well-being, and also a feeling of being at one with their environment.
Heather first found Power Yoga in 2014 by seeking an alternative workout to strength training. The experience was invigorating, challenging her physically and mentally, and brought a focused attention to the mindfulness + body centering exercises that were missing from her previous workouts. She found a new passion for whole body wellness and her commitment to the practice quickly grew. She attended her first Baptiste training “Being of Power” in 2015 and, inspired by the Baptiste philosophy, completed a 200hr “Expand Your Power” teacher training in the Spring of 2016. Heather continued her yoga education spending a week at Level One in Sedona and her 500 hr training certification in 2018.
As an instructor, Heather is joyful and energetic. She aims to bring practitioners a physically challenging experience, offering support, personal inquiry and space to create new possibilities in their practice. When she is not in the studio, or at her office, she can be found challenging herself outdoors. She enjoys hiking, snowboarding, paddleboarding and exploring the best of the Pacific Northwest with her sons Evan and Kaden.
